Two Points.

Hold up!1. All I ever wanted when I was young was to stay disinterested enough in the shadow play of power to see people for who they were, to fall in love with a person not an idea, and to remain awake to the real symptoms and causes of suffering, to the great collapsing wave of tragedy frozen in the eyes of all the people I saw in the street.

2. Men will never win the battle of the sexes, because it’s a battle of wits – and we’ve only managed to cling onto power for so long because we had the strength to oppress and the motive for doing so: that is, we knew women were smarter than we were, and more capable, and it scared the crap out of us. Think of it as that moment when the girl you’re hopelessly in love with tells you there's no point in the two of you trying anymore because it just won't work. You argue with her until you’re blue in the face, but she won’t listen. Then you spend the next two months (until the restraining order comes through) prolonging the argument via text, email and phone call. Finally, at some undisclosed point in the future, you realise she was right.

No idea why.
